Mary married Joseph LIKES, son of John 'Joseph' LIKES and Abigal CHILDS, on June 28, 1868 in Noble Co., Indiana. (Joseph LIKES was born on March 11, 1843 in Ashland Co., Ohio, died on June 21, 1921 in Noble Co., Kendallville, Indiana and was buried in Lake View Cemetery, Noble Co., Kendallville, Indiana.) The cause of his death was Hardening of the arteries.

• Marriage Notice. Joseph and Mary Jane were married by the Rev. J. Hadsol in Noble County, Indiana, in the brick house where her mother, Sarah Ann and stepfather Phillip Lash lived. They set up houskeeping on the 80 acre farm her parents bought in 1846 when they came to Indiana from Ohio.
