Anthony Smith Gann IV, a Confederate soldier, died at the end of the Civil War after walking home through the rain with the measles. This was in Alcorn County, Corinth, Mississippi, in June of 1865.
Anthony married Sarah Minerva WHITE, daughter of Andrew WHITE and Sally {Wife of Andrew} UNKNOWN {WHITE}, about 1854 in Marion Co., Alabama. (Sarah Minerva WHITE was born in 1832 in Marion Co., Alabama, died in March 1908 in Stephens Co., Breckenridge, Texas and was buried in Veale Creek Cemetery, Stephens Co., Texas.)
